Book – final images

After a long time spent in Photoshop, I understood that I can make 100 styles but finally I will have to choose 2 only. I did so. Thinking of the name, I was a bit confuse of what to choose. I like the word ‘hidden’ cause that what is about. So, my final name is ‘Hidden emotions’. And here we go! Please enjoy my final work. In overall, I’m happy with my final visuals. I think it attracts my personality and interests perfectly. Moreover, there is my character on a picture… ha ha.

Book – shapes matters

It took me a while to play around with shapes and make it look interesting. I’ve put my shaped bits upside down, left to right and right to left… In short, I have a folder with 20 similar files, but they are not similar at all. Generally, I decided to go with triangles and squares. I used 3 images finally and that was more than enough. I chose soft colours instead of vibrant one cause I think it fits my idea more.

Book – developments

It was a time to make actual pictures. I took Canon 600D and my friend helped me to took some images. I decided to be a model for my own project because of the time limitations and the content. For example, one of my friends said to me that they would never let someone do smth crazy with their face like I was gonna do. So it was easier for me to pose because I knew exactly what I needed. After a photo shoot, I did some colour corrections in Adobe Lightroom to make the image look more presentable for the book. After this stage, I was playing around with shapes and colours on top of the picture.

Book – first drafts

Following tutors advises, I decided to go for photography (I was really confident to make an illustration). I choice Jordan Clark’s works as my final inspiration. Below you can see my first drafts.

After I’ve done first sketches, I started to practise with an actual image in Photoshop. I was playing around with some special effect, shapes and colours. My result you can find below.

James Bond: Summative

During the last two weeks, I was working with my posters. I needed to practise and improve all things to look my project quality and presentable. Tutors gave me as much advices as they can and it was very helpful. Sometimes you need to ask opinion of the other people. So, this term I was feeling comfortable and confident. I’m glad with my result but at the same time I know that I can make it better. My idea was to create a retro posters with the help of new technics. I wanted to show that this style is still useful and attractive in 21st century. It was nice experience!
